Painting FAQ — Pricing, Licensing, Financing & Process

Question 1

Which package includes the two-year warranty?

Accepted Answer

The Cloud 9 package includes a two-year workmanship warranty. Coverage and exclusions are stated in the signed agreement. Other packages do not include this two-year warranty.

Question 2

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Beams & Dreams Painting LLC carries full general liability and workers' comp insurance. Certificate of insurance available on request with any bid.

Question 3

What's the difference between a bid and an estimate?

Accepted Answer

Our written fixed-price proposal states the agreed scope and price. We document changes to the scope and any associated price change for your approval, rather than adding unexpected charges at invoicing.

Question 4

How much does a typical paint job cost?

Accepted Answer

Interior repaints in Central Arkansas typically run $2,500–$8,000 depending on square footage and ceiling height. Full exterior repaints range $4,000–$15,000. Cabinet refinishing starts around $3,000 for a typical kitchen. Every project gets a written fixed-bid — no guessing.

Question 5

Do you use premium paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We specify Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald on exteriors, Cashmere on interiors, and a dedicated cabinet enamel on kitchens. The exact product is documented on your bid. We don't upcharge for premium paint — it's the only kind we use.

Question 6

How long does a project take?

Accepted Answer

Interior repaints: 2–5 days. Full exteriors: 4–7 working days weather permitting. Cabinets: 5–7 days with doors refinished off-site. We give you a specific schedule with your bid and we stick to it.

Question 7

Do you offer financing?

Accepted Answer

Yes — financing is available on every project we take on. Soft credit check, terms from 12 to 84 months, most approvals same-day. See the financing page for how it works.

Question 8

Do you work in my neighborhood?

Accepted Answer

Probably yes. We serve Little Rock, Conway, Maumelle, Chenal Valley, North Little Rock, Benton, Bryant, Cabot, Greenbrier, and over forty other Central Arkansas communities. If you don't see your town listed, call us — we travel for the right project.

Question 9

What's the Good-as-Gold guarantee?

Accepted Answer

If the finished work isn't good enough for us to have in our own home, it isn't done. We walk every project with you before we call it complete, and address any agreed corrections identified in the final walkthrough. The Cloud 9 package includes a two-year workmanship warranty; its coverage and exclusions are set out in the signed agreement.

Question 10

Do I need to move my furniture?

Accepted Answer

No. We move and protect furniture as part of the job. We also cover floors, mask trim, and tape off fixtures. On exterior jobs we flag landscaping and protect plantings. Daily clean-up is included.

Question 11

Can I supply my own paint?

Accepted Answer

You're welcome to — though we usually recommend against it. We get wholesale pricing from Sherwin-Williams and we know which product is right for your substrate. If you have a specific color already mixed, we'll happily use it.

Question 12

Who are the best painters in Little Rock, Arkansas?

Accepted Answer

Beams & Dreams Painting is a top-rated, family-owned painting contractor serving the Little Rock metro area, with a 4.9/5.0 average rating across 47+ verified five-star reviews on Google and Thumbtack. Founded in 2016 by Danny Olivo and based in Conway, AR, the company specializes in residential interior painting, exterior house painting, and kitchen cabinet refinishing.

Question 13

How long does exterior house painting last in Arkansas humidity?

Accepted Answer

A properly prepped and painted exterior in Arkansas typically lasts 7 to 10 years on wood siding and 10 to 15 years on fiber cement, provided the surface is pressure-washed, fully dried, scraped, primed, and finished with a quality 100% acrylic paint like Sherwin-Williams Duration. We follow a documented prep checklist on every exterior job.

Question 14

What questions should I ask a painting contractor before hiring?

Accepted Answer

Before hiring a painter in Little Rock or Conway, ask for proof of liability insurance, a written fixed-bid (not an estimate), the exact paint product and number of coats, the prep process for surfaces, who will be on-site each day, and the workmanship warranty in writing. We volunteer all of these in our initial walkthrough.

Question 15

Do you paint brick or brick homes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Painting exterior brick is very popular in Central Arkansas right now. We use specialized masonry primers and breathable coatings (like Romabio or Loxon) so moisture doesn't get trapped behind the paint, which prevents peeling and spalling.

Question 16

Do you stain decks and fences?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer professional power washing and staining for decks, fences, pergolas, and exterior wood structures using high-quality penetrating oil or solid stains that hold up to Arkansas summers.

Question 17

Are you a franchise?

Accepted Answer

No. Beams & Dreams Painting is 100% locally owned and operated by founder Danny Olivo. When you hire us, your money stays in Central Arkansas, and you are dealing directly with the owner, not a corporate call center.

Question 18

What areas of Central Arkansas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Conway and serve the entire Little Rock metro area. Our primary service areas include Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle, Chenal Valley, Conway, Greenbrier, Benton, Bryant, Cabot, Sherwood, and Jacksonville.

Question 19

Do you offer commercial painting services?

Accepted Answer

While our specialty is residential repaints and cabinet refinishing, we do take on select light-commercial projects (offices, retail spaces, HOAs) in the Little Rock area. Contact us to discuss your commercial project scope.
